6 Best Practical Steps to Trust God Through College

6 tips to trust god in college

As you know, trust is arduous to develop between people. It is even much harder for a young, energetic youth in a college to trust in a God they cannot see or touch. Today, we will be sharing with you practical steps you should take to trust in God the Father through college.

 Have faith in God’s existence

You need faith to trust in God completely. Hebrews 11:6 reads, “And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to Him must believe He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek him.

According to 1 Peter 1:8-9 though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you don’t see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible, and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

When you have an opportunity, share your faith with others.  If you aren’t quite a speaker, you can use your Christian apparel to express your faith in God openly.

Give your life to God

Giving your life to Christ is an important step to show your trust in God. According to John 1:11-13; He came to his home, and His own people received Him not. But to all who received Him, who believed in His name, he gave the power to become children of God: who were born, neither of blood nor of the will of man, but of God.

Therefore, you should trust God with your life and accept Christ as your savior. According to acts 4:12 (NIV), salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under the heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.

Sharing your worries with God

If you trust someone, you became honest with them about anything. God is reliable and trustworthy, so cast your anxiety on Him through prayer.

You can trust any worrisome situation to God and invite Him to work it out for you. Philippians 4:6-7, ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Read and be a doer of God’s word

A further step to trust God is by you replacing your thoughts and feelings with the word of God. The word of God gives us wisdom when we study it, and our minds are renewed.

Romans 12.2 says, ‘Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good, acceptable and perfect.

Whenever you read the word of God, you will hear God speaking to your heart and make decisions based upon what He’s asking you to do not just what you think, feel or want.

Seek God’s guidance in all you do

Most of the times, we seek guidance from people we trust.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.

Evangelize

Proclaim the good news about Jesus Christ to other people publically. Use your mouth to preach to different people in the world. Besides, you can use your Christian apparel as a vehicle to spread the good news to people.

Touch and bring souls as you walk around in your Christian clothing.

2nd Corinthians 5:20 reads,’ we are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God was making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Conclusion

God wants Christians to put their confidence and trust in Him, all the time, in everything. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
